Every figure, and where it comes from
Each number and product claim this site makes about itself is listed here with its value now and the rule or query behind it.
Counted and read on 5 October 2026, 23:21 UK time. A claim that cannot be traced to this page is not made.
Figures
| Claim | Now | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Investor profiles | 10,000+ | The stated dataset figure, audited October 2026; rounded down, never up. The live count is printed instead once the dataset setting is switched to live. |
| People across the whole database | 60,000+ | The master dataset (v8) counted by our data engineer, October 2026; rounded down, never up. The live People row below replaces it once that dataset is loaded. |
| Investor organisations | 3,516 | Counted now: real, non-demo, non-canary organisations. |
| People | 5,137 | Counted now: people at those organisations who have not asked to be kept out of results. |
| Deliverable work emails | Not loaded yet | Counted now: people whose work email passed its last deliverability check. Deliverable is not the same as verified. |
| Generalist investors | 1,937 | Counted now: organisations whose sectors include generalist. |
| Funding rounds tracked | 72 | Counted now: published rounds that are not demo data. |
| Startups listed | 151 | Counted now: published startup profiles. |
| Free dossiers | 3 | A product rule (src/lib/entitlements.ts): 3 fully reasoned dossiers free, 6 after one share unlock per company. |
| Report size | 25 | A product rule: the one-off report holds this many fully reasoned targets. |
| Matching model | 2.1.2 | The version stamped on every list the engine builds (src/lib/versions.ts). |
Product and security claims
These are the claims made on the security, retention, AI, status and pricing pages. Each value is read from the code when this page loads.
| Claim | Now | Where it is enforced |
|---|---|---|
| The Fit Score is a weighted average of published factors | 16 factors | The factor list and default weights are in src/lib/factors.ts. The methodology page prints the weights in use. |
| Scoring is computed by rules, not by a language model | No model call | The scoring files (src/lib/match.ts, factors.ts, signals.ts) import no model client. A unit test fails if one is added. |
| A model output can never make a fact Verified | Inferred or Estimated | The only states a tier F fact may carry (src/lib/states.ts). The database rejects any other (db/047_evidence.sql). |
| Plan match limits | Spark 1,000, Launch 2,500 | The largest matched list each plan builds (src/lib/tiers.ts). Stated as “up to”. |
| A first email is sent only after the founder approves it | Approval required | Only a queue entry marked approved is ever sent, and a draft becomes approved only by the founder's own action (src/lib/autopilot.ts, src/app/autopilot/page.tsx). |
| Follow-ups after a first email | Up to 2 | Queued in fixed wording after a first email is sent, only while the founder has follow-ups switched on, and dropped if the investor replied (src/lib/autopilot.ts). |
| A free next list if no investor replies | 20 contacted, 30 days | The terms the claim route checks: at least 20 investors marked contacted, no reply logged, claimed between 30 and 60 days after delivery (src/app/api/guarantee/route.ts). |
| Our target for finishing a removal request | 24 hours | A target we set ourselves, not a measurement (src/lib/targets.ts). The share met is printed only once enough requests have closed. |
| How often each record is re-checked | 180, 90, 30 and 30 days | Organisations, contacts, funding rounds and news, in that order (src/lib/freshness.ts). |
| Contact fields are encrypted before they are stored | AES-256-GCM | Work email addresses and phone numbers, one field at a time (src/lib/vault.ts). |
| Sign-in link and session lifetimes | 15 minutes, 30 days | Set in src/app/api/auth/request/route.ts and src/lib/auth.ts. A unit test checks these figures against those files. |
| Staff must pass a second sign-in step | Every 12 hours | Staff access is not granted to a session without it (gate() in src/lib/auth.ts). |
| Retention periods on the retention page | 2, 100 and 365 days | Rate-limit counters, status readings and closed support messages. A unit test checks each period against the file that enforces it. |
| Sub-processors | 5 connected | Read from the live configuration when the page loads (subprocessors() in src/lib/trust.ts). |
| Status history and percentages | 90 days | Drawn only from stored readings. A percentage needs at least 10 readings (src/lib/uptime.ts). |
| Security certifications held | None | The list in src/content/site.ts. The Certifications block stays hidden while it is empty. |
