KVector raises £3.8m led by Midlands Mindforge
Birmingham-based KVector has raised £3.8m in a seed round, led by Midlands Mindforge and Mercia Ventures. It builds metamaterial antennas that steer radar and satellite beams at lower cost, weight and power than phased arrays. Midlands Engine Investment Fund II, UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund, University of Birmingham and others also invested. The money will go on product development, hiring and defence and satcom commercialisation.
