Certain Energy raises £10m led by British Business Bank

London-based Certain Energy has raised £10m in a Series A round, led by British Business Bank. It builds manganese flow batteries for long-duration storage of renewable electricity. Centrica Energy, Ceres Power Holdings, Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health and others also invested. The money will go on an MWh-scale demonstration in India, UK research facilities and a supply chain.
